Eastside Innovation Hub

The Eastside Innovation Hub was a restoration and addition to a historic cast in place concrete masonry warehouse building in Portland's Inner East Side Industrial Area.  

The project modernized the enclosure, and added an additional story above the existing two stories.  

New vertical circulation included a main stair, elevator, and fire stair.  The main stair is visible through the exterior facade showing activity and movement to the exterior.

The roof features a green roof, and a simple mechancial penthouse containing all the equipment reuqired for the lab spaces below.

The finishes for the space are economical, but durable suiting the industrial heritage of the building.
